Kistler Vineyards Kistler Vineyard Chardonnay 2004 is pale yellow. Slow building aromas of stone fruits and white flowers. A shapely, gripping wine that combines a seductive sweetness with a firm acid backbone. Wonderfully perfumed and aromatic in the mouth, with an underlying minerality that saturates the palate. Delicious now.

Scored a 94-96 from Robert Parker and the Wine Advocate
From the Wine Advocate: There are 3,600 cases of the 2004 Chardonnay McCrea Vineyard. Its evolved light gold color is accompanied by a provocative nose of crushed rocks interwoven with orange liqueur, hazelnuts, and earth. Given its steely core of fruit, it is the most Chablisean of the 2004 Chardonnays. It should drink well for 5-7 years.
Scored a 92-94 from Robert Parker and the Wine Advocate
Kistler Vineyards Vine Hill Vineyard Chardonnay 2004, was $99.99 now $90.00, 750 ml
Kistler Vineyards Vine Hill Vineyard Chardonnay 2004 is pale yellow. Subtle, endlessly complex nose offers lime blossom, minerals, and slate. Dense, tightly wound and very pure, with a powerful, stony underpinning.

Kistler Vineyards Cuvee Elizabeth Pinot Noir 2004 is a wine with deep, sappy, brooding nose featuring black fruits, violet, minerals, and gun-metal. Large-scaled but elegant, with a captivating lightness of touch. Compelling inner-mouth perfume and persistence. A wine of considerable refinement and pronounced soil character. Delicious now.

The 2003 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant, highly expressive wine that displays great complexity due to the multifaceted climatic conditions of the harvest season. The wine is dark ruby with a purple to red edge. It displays bright aromas of black cherry, dark chocolate, black tea, allspice and ginger. In the mouth, it has a full-bodied attack, a round, balanced mid-palate redolent of cherry preserves, brown sugar and caramel and an extremely long finish of savory ripe fruit. Properly cellared, it should give drinking pleasure until 2026.

From the Wine Advocate: The Chris Ringland (formerly known as Three Rivers Shiraz), is aged 42 months in 100% new French oak, and is rarely racked until bottling, represents an extraordinary expression of Barossa Shiraz. The intense 1999, released in 2004, demonstrates that this vintage is somewhat underrated after all the hype over 1998. From a vineyard planted in 1910, its inky/purple color is accompanied by aromas of lavender, lard, smoke, licorice, blackberries, cassis, espresso roast, chocolate, and pepper. Full-bodied, slightly less voluminous than the perfect 1998, with an unctuous texture, sweet tannin, and a 70+ second finish, this magnificent, still young Shiraz should be accessible in 3-5 years, and last for two decades.
Scored a 98 from Robert Parker and the Wine Advocate
