Martellotto Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2005 $24.99
This Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure, black cherry, and peppery flavors. A deft blending of Syrah completes the palate with blackberry, violets and dried herbs.

This wine comes from the Yarra Yering Vineyard, which is planted mainly to Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. So different was the 2000 vintage for Yarra Yering that nearly all of the red varieties were utilized to make one 'mother' blend. It's a ribald, strapping concoction reminiscent of wild red berries strewn with mint and spice. If you're familiar with the classic Yarra Yering style, you'll appreciate how ripe and approachable this wine is.
