Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting

This single malt is aged in a solera system that is unique from any other Scotch whisky distillers.   What makes its rich flavors such a standout is the time it spends in traditional American bourbon casks followed by time in Sherry casks, and lastly large solera vats made of Oregon pine.   The end result is a beautifully balanced single malt with a full fruity nose, delicate honey and vanilla notes, and a smooth body with rich spice and oak flavors.

I guess you might say that after just one sip its easy to understand why the Glenfiddich 15 year won the Gold Medal for Best in Class at the International Spirits Challenge 2007.
